Call for Artists - Group Shows 2022
Some months The Wooden Box Gallery will be bringing a different theme, different artists and different ways of working to the space. Please scroll down for information that will be happening each month and see which you feel suits you, your way of working, your topic or your mood. New Calls are being added all the time & please feel free to get in touch if you have an idea for a theme.
Why? - Why not?
We want to maximise the opportunity for different artists to work, network and exhibit with different artists who they may not yet know. We hope that new friendships, alliances and creative partnerships may be formed as well as the possibility for artists to showcase their major topic or dip their toe into something outside their norm.

Your GOODBYE - is their GOOD BUY!!
Submit your work that needs a new audience, a new set of ears to listen to it, a new pair of eyes to gaze upon it, a new wall to adorn and be someone else's talking piece. Price to work to sell and then say goodbye! Hanging fee of only £5 per piece submitted + only 25% commission to encourage you to mix it up a bit, let go, move on, get over it and unburden yourself. Be brave. All mediums, all styles, all motivations, all sizes. All welcome. Hanging from Jan 3rd. Show opens Jan 6th until Jan 30th. Submit your work that is about love, lust, passion, sex, relationships, loss, grief, sensuality, eroticism, bodies, embodied pleasure, asexuality, togetherness, apartness, belonging and choice. All mediums, all styles, all motivations, all sizes. All welcome. Hanging fee £5 per piece submitted + 25% commission. Hanging from Feb1st. Show opens Feb 4th until Feb 20th. Submit work that is a discussion, a celebration or a representation of Big thinkers, the recovers, the over-sensitives, the snowflakes, the ne'er-do-wells, the out of the boxers, the amount to not muchers, the messyhandwriters, the daydreamers, the enjoyers of difference, the hold my pinters, eccentrics & those flushed with exuberance. This show is about celebration and understanding, non apologetic and non-patronising. All mediums, all styles, all motivations, all sizes. All welcome. Hanging fee between £5 - £15 per piece submitted + 25% commission.
