The Wooden Box Cafe

The Cafe was set up to be a sociable space, to host groups, events, coffee mornings, gatherings & meet friends.  Please see our timetable of regular events & get in touch if you would like to host an get together. 

Based on the High St, 10 mins walk from the train station, our cafe is a good place to meet friends, colleagues or use our wifi & sockets to work quietly.

Hot cake in a cup - eat in or have a CAKEAWAY! Choose your cake, choose your topping, choose your sauce & choose to share with friends or treat yourself!

Come in & get the dates for the monthly book groups.  We have a daytime meeting & an evening meeting even with an online option too!

Get together with other writers; from total beginners to published authors we talk about ways of writing, over coming blocks, editing, getting it finished & published! 

We love music of all genres, ages & styles, so we thought it would be cool to get together with other museos to share tunes, vinyls, music history & inspirations.

Every morning is acoffee morning & every afternoon is Tea-Time.  We welcome everyone & love seeing our daily visitors who pop in for a chat, coffee & catch up. 

Once a month we host our pub quiz, especially for those who want an evening out, test their knowledge, meet people in a pleasant adult space that is not a pub.
